"Beverly Hadland made quite an impression on our grade nine and ten students. She shared her personal experience in an entertaining manner and kept the interest of students and staff."
Holy Trinity Catholic S.S., Simcoe.
"Several girls, especially those that I know had sex for the first time this year, said we really should offer the presentation in the younger grades so those students can be forewarned. One boy said, 'She was straight up. She told us what happened to her from when she was a kid until now. How she said it made me think more about what some people go through.' They liked that you didn't lecture them, but instead told it to them straight."
Maria Borsato, Chaplaincy Leader
St. Thomas Aquinas S.S.
"Bev Hadland-Turner has been speaking at our school over the years and brings a message about sex, love, contraception and pornography, that our students long to hear. Bev's testimony is powerful in itself, but this year she also had a great powerpoint to accompany her, which included some really enlightening and entertaining video. This really kept the students attention and focus, which isn't always easy to do on a topic that can make them want to giggle and discuss.
I had followup with two of the grade 9 classes who were at the presentation and they found it to be a worthwhile presentation. We look forward to Bev returning to our school next year to bring the message that 'They are worth waiting for' which they do not get to hear often enough."
Mary Elaine Carty
Chaplaincy Team Leader
Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School
Kingston, ON.
"I want to thank you on your presentation. It proved to be one of the best workshops that we've had the pleasure to receive in our school. It directly related to the 'heart' of the matter and proved to connect with realities of the present day. Once again, thank you."
Marie-Line P. Kitchen, Principal
Willie J. Happyjack Memorial School
Waswanipi, QC.
"Beverly, the retreat response was fantastic. The girls in particular are really re-evaluating their sexuality. You really had them engaged, the buzz is out that the grade 11 retreat day was not be be missed."
Lydia Foch, Chaplaincy
St. Mary's Catholic S.S., Owen Sound
